These maps are very interest! My favorites are the map of Austin and the maps showing the Croatia and Slovenia boarder. Can you imagine being in two different countries while dining at a restaurant?! The map of America showing the most famous brands is also very interesting, one could argue that Ford is more famous than GM, but I could be bias.
I vote Ford, but that's because I now work for them. Also, what's up Chicago's 4th congressional district? Making the border go like a horseshoe around a huge chunk of its surrounding area.
I was thinking the same thing as Jared, that border is nuts. I really liked the US famous brand map too, and thought it was interesting to see different kinds of things coming from different regions of the country. Also think its hilarious that Florida's most famous for Hooters.
I think it's amusing that South Carolina known for their "Southern Hospitality" is most famous for Denny's one of the most inhospitable restaurants I've ever been to (even though it's not advertised as such) and Texas and Dr.Pepper didn't surprise me at all, because Texans like big bold flavors and that's all Dr.Pepper is. Connections like these really help you see how the environment that a brand is popular is/or isn't reflected in the brand itself.

I find the doppelgangers to be the most interesting map illustration. It is things like this that you would never think about unless you are given a reason to. Also, Austin is ridiculously huge.
Anything can be learned on the internet! I wonder what those holes in Austin's city limits is about.
