Developing Story: Dr. Ron Paul Reveals #1 Step to Prepare for America’s Next Big Crisis

In this article "Dr. Ron Paul–the former U.S. Presidential candidate and 22-year Congressional veteran–was briefly back in Washington, D.C., recently.
Dr. Paul was in the nation’s capital to educate Americans on what he believes our country’s next financial crisis will look like.
He says America is on the verge of a real “currency crisis”—the likes of which we have not seen in more than 50 years.
And Dr. Paul believes a major currency crisis is coming to America… sooner than most people think.
During his recent visit in Washington, he said:
“The way you live, work, travel, retire, and invest in America… everything is going to change. Some of it in ways most people do not expect. This period is going to be particularly tough on seniors and anyone relying on a fixed income, or money from the government.”
“Trouble is coming—please make sure you, your family, and anyone you care about are prepared.”
That’s why Dr. Paul recently worked to help put together a short video presentation that explains the #1 first step every American should take to prepare for America’s next, inevitable crisis."

I recommend that you watch Dr. Paul's video(watch it until the end please) in this article. The contents in the video made me choose the article. In the video, Dr. Paul talks about scary things such as the next big crisis "currency crisis" that he says will be worst than the Great Recession. He 'smashes' the Fed while advising Americans on how to have their heads on their shoulders when it comes to the government and its policies. Dr. Paul warns Americans will be losing properties to the future crisis. Also, he touches topics such as "too-big-to-fail", the rise of interest rates, the currency system etc...
Do you agree with Dr. Paul that we are heading towards a currency crisis just 7 years after the 2008 financial crisis? Also what do you think about those steps that Dr. Paul, in his book, suggests Americans take to prepare for the future crisis?

  1. First of all, I think it's odd how he is so certain that this "next currency crisis" is going to be so incredibly worst than previous depressions experienced. If this is true, why have't we heard about this from other people? I question the validity in his remarks on the magnitude of this "next crisis" saying that it's going to be "infinitely worse". He also says that this could happen "overnight". Really? Is debt the only reason he thinks this is going to happen? I guess I don't really get his entire rationale for why the currency is going to crash. I can agree with him on the front of seeing unpredictable change, that most American's have no idea about or foresee. A wealth tax? Well I hope changes don't come to taxes on all my savings. Maybe I'm too much of an optimist, but I found the majority of his lecture really bleak , and more so worst case scenario. I hope what Dr. Paul sees isn't true.

  2. From Hang: What I got from the video is Dr. Paul's warnings about the coming crisis. He talked a lot about the consequences of this crisis, and how people will lose confidence in the U.S. dollar. But I'm confused about the causes of this crisis. It seems as he explains that Americans are not aware of how corrupted the Fed is, and the Fed themselves led to this crisis by "creating money out of thin air", and caused a huge amount of government debt that is "no way" going to be paid for. Does he mean this as the consequences of QE? If this is going to be the case, why are other countries considering implementing this policy too?

  3. I personally have to agree with Cam that if this so called "next currency crisis" is inevitable as well as more devastating then any recent current crisis then why has this not been talked about more often by economist? That is why I discredit Dr. Paul's remarks because I do not see the reasoning behind why he believes this next crisis is coming so quickly. But if Dr. Paul is right our entire way of living will be shattered in our society and I hope what he believes is wrong.
