Could you locate Ukraine on a map?

The less Americans know about Ukraine’s location, the more they want U.S. to intervene

  1. This is an interesting regression analysis and I wonder how it would look like if it were Syria instead of Ukraine. Especially because over 100,000 people have already died in the 3-year civil war there, and millions have fled the country. What intrigues me is that the U.S. has been hesitant to provide a significant amount of aid to Syria in fear of 'extremists' receiving military equipment and arms. However, if we were to help Crimea, wouldn't there also be the risk of Crimean 'extremists' receiving military equipment and arms?

  2. I think one of the of the differences between Syria and Ukraine's conflict is the involvement of Russia in Ukraine. i do have the same question as Mark, "if we were to help Crimea, wouldn't there also be the risk of Crimean 'extremists' receiving military equipment and arms? "

  3. It's funny how some Americans feel the need to teach other countries a lesson when our schools are falling apart. I also feel like geography as a discipline isn't really valued in the American education system as much as U.S. History is.
