As(z?)ia Rises

This video discuses the rise of Asian countries in the world economy.  What do you guys think?  Will these trends continue?  For how long?

  1. In the beginning of his speech, Roslings says something very powerful:
"I realized that perhaps the Western World will not continue to dominate the world forever" (Rosling).
The graph of India, China, Japan, UK, and the US moving through time is very entertaining. Rosling explains that "keeping national sovereignty" made a big difference for Japan. and their development. It is amazing to see what happened after 1947 when India gained their national sovereignty. China and India are trying to catch up, but need to focus on income equality during a time of fast economic growth!
When looking at growth and Rosling's projections, it is evident that the UK and US have a much more flatten growth periods compared to China and India.
    Great video!
