  1. I think its incredible that certain restaurants accept food stamps these days, and fast food places in particular. I don't think its helping the issue of obesity in our country.

  2. I think although more people qualify for these programs due to our economic condition giving people more freedom with their cards will also make it easier for people to abuse this system. It also might incentivize negative social behaviors, some might choose rely on food stamps completely as opposed to working to get off of government assistance. So there's good but there's also bad..and I agree Erica being able to use food stamps at fast food places does NOT help the issue of obesity especially among minorities who are more pro to diet related illnesses like high blood pressure and diabetes.

  3. I think the qualifications need to be adjusted or there needs to be some-short of regulations set in place for the fact that people have food stamps that don't necessarily need them. I know that some of my friends while in college got access to food stamps even though they didn't need them in order to sustain food.

  4. I am mostly concerned with the abuse of this system. People will find ways to get around and get more than they are allowed or required. I also agree that this will have a negative effect on the obesity and overall health issue in our economy. I feel that there are definite positive implications to this system, but I believe that the negatives may outweigh them.
