Interesting Study About Bosses and Job Applications

This video and article makes a few interesting points. I was pretty shocked when they said it's actually good to have at least one social media account but no more than four.

  1. Oh there is nothing worst than a bad boss, and nothing better than a great one that offers mentorship. If someone is smart/ qualified enough to get the job, why not let them grow into the position rather than micromanage? Good bosses means that the employee is 6 times more likely to stay!

    Interesting findings about social media and browser preferences. It looks like people looking to stay connected and receive information have more to offer in the workplace.

  2. I think social media is a way for people to be more personable in a work place. They are able to have more conversations through being connected. I think if you have a boss that fosters growth along with personable people willing to grow your business has great potential.

  3. Bad boss just creates a bad working environment. And eventually the worker (unless they're making a lot of money) to hate their jobs and quit. Then the unemployment rate increases and there are not people willing to take these jobs, which is detrimental to our economic situation.
