No Bank is too big to Jail

Should big banks be sent to jail for everything they did, or do you think that without them our economy wouldn't have been in such a good financial state in the first place? With all the buzz about these different banks playing major roles in our current financial crisis, what are your guys' thoughts on whether or not jail time should be enforced?

  1. I don't think big banks should be sent to jail for everything they did. I think certain individuals/mortgage bankers should be. Especially the ones that have cocaine in their systems.

    1. agreed, I don't want a junkie in charge of my finances, but I don't believe charges will be brought to any guilty parties, it would be time consuming...just fine the guilty parties and give the money to their victims. Also jails are unstable institutions too.

  2. I agree with Jake. Sometimes, particularly with such vertical hierarchies often seen in big business, its easy for the lower levels to assume upper management would never lead them astray. But it makes it much easier for the managers to manipulate and cover up any immoral activities they might be doing. I think the structure and management is to blame, not the employees of the banks.
