No one knows what really happened

Truth is elusive.

These 3 people just tore apart the Democratic Party — Medium

  1. I think this is interesting because they are various different points of views with different conflicting stories about what actually happened at Nevada convention and since I think everyone has a vested interest and bias in this story, I wonder if there is a video to show what actually occurred. The thing I found most interesting about this story regards Jon Ralston, the reporter who (in my opinion risked his career and all future credibility) decided to make slanderous and unnecessary allegations with no real motive or evidence to back it up.

  2. I stand by my prediction that Hillary Clinton will receive the nomination, and this is exactly the type of situation that is the reason why. Sanders never had a chance. Clinton has the media and the DNC wrapped around her finger. This is a truly pitiful election.

  3. Nevada basically sums up our electoral system and how backwards and screwed up our political process actually is. Why are there caucuses? Why are most primaries closed if all Americans pay taxes to fund both political parties? Why do we even have a de facto, two-party system? The organization, or rather disorganization of U.S. politics works well for those who hold power when people don't pay attention, but Nevada shed light on the complicated and broken system that is the Democratic Party.
What's worse is the corruption that was seen among the party officals, especially Mr. Ralston, who singlehandedly caused one of the biggest media erruptions this year even though his statements were blatant lies. A lot of this boils down to the amount of big money in politics and the only reason the Republican Party imploded earlier was because of a greater about of wealth and wealth concentration. As clashes like these continue to happen and if Sanders continues to increase vitriol against the Democratic establishment, then I can only imagine an equal or worse scenario at the DNC.

  4. Its truly unfortunate that issues like these continue to define this election cycle. With that being said, I really can't predict what will happen in the general election. Both parties are seemingly divided and it sees like whichever candidate can unite the party will win the election. I also agree with Anthony that there it is pretty much inevitable that Hilary will get the nomination.
