To clarify, no matter who these delegates personally support, they will be bound in the first round at the convention to vote for whomever they were selected to based on the primary results. This will only become undemocratic on the second ballot and beyond, which only happens if Trump is unable to earn 50% or more of the delegates on the first ballot. Which if he sweeps New York and manages to do well in California is still definitely possible.
This is a very strange part of our political system. It seems unfair and completely undemocratic that these delegates can pledge all their votes before primary votes are even cast. The RNC seems to hate the support and success that Donald Trump has found as of late.
