Deficits are falling. For now

deficits as percent of gdp        A piece of the article, Deficits are falling. For now , says this..

"There are several reasons for the downward trend. The economy is on the mend. Incoming federal revenue has risen from 60-year lows and will soon top its historical average for much of the next decade. Spending, meanwhile, has come down from 60-year highs.

And, of course, projections have improved because Congress and President Obama have signed off on $4 trillion of deficit reduction that is set to unfold over the next decade. That assumes the roughly $1 trillion in forced budget cuts that went into effect last month are kept on the books or replaced with something comparable, as Obama has proposed."

Do you think that we will be able to stay on the track estimated?
Do you think we need to be as worried of the deficit since congress and Obama signed off on the reduction plan?
How do you think this reduction and the budget cuts will effect the normal American?

  1. I honestly don't know if we will, but I definitely hope we do stay on this downward trend. Obviously cuts will have an effect on at least some Americans, however I think cutting down on the deficit is important as well.

  2. I believe that, overall, we will be able to stay on the estimated track. There are bound to be bumps in the road and periods of time where the deficits will fluctuate, but for the most part there is promise in what we have been seeing. Cuts may have an initial impact on some Americans, but nothing that is insurmountable. I believe that Obama's reduction plan has both positive and negative aspects, but we will have to wait for the outcome to show the true effects.

  3. It will hurt some Americans right away with certain care they couldn't afford taken care of. Now they will be put into a poorer situation and can hopefully find a way to make it work. Hopefully the budget cuts can lead to where the chart points and can help boost the economy in any way.
