I know this example is only used to illustrate a point but I think it's kind of silly. For all we know the man who has a million dollars could have worked his butt of for 25 years going through school and then got a job where he works over 40 hour work weeks and is smart with how he spends his money. On the other side, the man who had insufficient funds could be unemployed and not even attempting to find a job and be careless with his money.
