I have no source for this, but I have recently read reports which say that a higher percentage of college students are now female. So, there must be factors other than education causing this tragedy.
I think it's interesting that the map in this article shows that most of the state of California showed substantial improvement in mortality rates. Any ideas for why this might be?
If we can find out what is so different about the places that have substantially improved we should be able to determine what to do differently in those areas that have not.
