Great Recession Graduates (Us) Are we a good thing or a bad thing?

These are two articles posted about the hiring of recent graduates instead of older experienced workers.
Article 1.
Why I Like To Hire Recent Graduates

If you read this first article and then view the comments coming from the experienced workers and how negative they are towards new graduates, do you feel they have a point or are simply frustrated with losing a job to someone with no experience?

Article 2.
Debating the merits of hiring recent graduates

After many of the negative comments regarding the blog post, the author wrote another article about the merits behind hiring recent graduates. Considering the points made about recent graduates being hungry and having the ability to adapt to social media constantly an advantage over experience?

Would you say, like the article, you have been taught the only success you can have is from hard work and the ability to view the whole picture in situations?

Since we do require less pay than other experienced personnel, do you suggest employers to take risks?

  1. Many recent college graduates are overqualified for positions which they are hired. So why not hire them? If a job is below their skills, they will surely succeed at it.
