so disheartening to watch the destruction of the city and recovery seems a ways away. the stalemate between the rebel forces and the Syrian government is very much present and does not seem anywhere close to being resolved. Assad is adamant and powerful and the citizens lack the agency or means to crack his regime down. what are the possibilities that the Syrian civil unrest comes to a stop in the next year? possibly none.
wow, these pictures are the clear evidence of what can happen when war happens in your land. It will take years for this city to be back together and for people to move on from what happened. How can there be any development when things are so dark and there is so much destruction?
