I had no idea that Apple was that deeply involved in the economy as far a profits go. It's just mind boggling. Jobs came in at the right time and place to set up business.
Those were all interesting facts. The comparison with Samsung shows how efficient they are at making their product. The other fact that was intriguing to me was its Free Cash Flow. They could bailout Detroit 8 times at their current debt and still have billions of dollars to play around with.
Apple really shows how profitable the technology industry can be. The figures reveal the extent to which Apple has a competitive advantage over other firms in this industry. Some of the factors contributing to their success is their ability to develop new or improved products on a regular basis, and the brand name and loyalty they have created for themselves. Although those facts were very impressive, I am concerned on the effects of Apple's monopoly on the raising inequality.
